2024年4月，全球小麦出口价格在连续三个月下跌后趋于稳定，而玉米价格环比上涨。4月，收成压力等因素导致国际稻米价格下跌1.8%。2024年3月和4月，大多数受粮农组织监测国家的主粮价格仍维持在历史高位。宏观经济形势严峻以及食品经销成本高企继续导致许多国家的本地产和进口食品价格上涨。在海地以及东非和西非部分地区，长期危机影响了食品产量和市场运作，导致食品价格高企。气候造成的冲击影响了南部非洲和南美洲部分国家的收成前景，并为玉米价格带来上行压力。相比之下，由于供应充足，且收成前景良好，东欧、高加索和中亚、以及远东部分国家的国内小麦价格下降。
