Public policies and institutions play a critical key role in ensuring that these resources are managed sustainability taking due account of the changing demands of society. While policies are revisited and revised regularly, often institutional reforms lag far behind, adversely affecting resource management and thus the supply of goods and services.Though the study has been carried out during a short time period, yet it gives very useful insights into how the institutional system as regards forest management is evolving over time. -
