Les conflits et la fragilité sont au cœur de certains des plus grands défis d'aujourd'hui - ils sont capables d'entraver les progrès du développement et également d'inverser les gains de développement. Les facteurs environnementaux sont rarement, la seule cause de conflits. Les pays peuvent connaître des conditions de vulnérabilité à différents niveaux d'intensité et sous différentes dimensions. Les crises générées par les pandémies mondiales, comme le COVID 19, peuvent avoir d'autres effets négatifs sur les contextes fragiles. La gestion des ressources naturelles, en particulier les terres et les ressources en eau, devient également l'un des défis les plus critiques dans ces situations désastreuses. Le projet «Renforcer les capacités de gestion des ressources naturelles pour revitaliser l'agriculture dans des contextes fragiles» découle de la reconnaissance de l'importance d'investir dans le capital humain dans des contextes fragiles. Le projet vise à remédier à la perte de capacités humaines provoquée par la fragilité en Libye, au Niger et au Mali. Dans le cadre du projet, un certain nombre de webinaires (cours d’apprentissage en ligne) ont été organisés, axés sur 13 domaines thématiques liés à la gestion des ressources naturelles. Le E-learning Nugget Briefs a été conçu pour présenter l'ensemble du programme de formation réalisé via les e-nuggets, en présentant l'approche du projet et la structure de la formation. De plus, une brève description de chaque module est incluse, pour illustrer les outils et méthodologies qui seront abordés dans chaque session. -

This report is the result of an inclusive process involving more than 300 scientists from around the world under the auspices of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and its Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative, and the European Commission. It presents concisely the state of knowledge on soil biodiversity, the threats to it, and the solutions that soil biodiversity can provide to problems in different fields. It also represents a valuable contribution to raising awareness of the importance of soil biodiversity and highlighting its role in finding solutions to today's global threats. -

Biodiversity for food and agriculture is the diversity of plants, animals and micro-organisms at genetic, species and ecosystem levels, present in and around crop, livestock, forest and aquatic production systems. It is essential to the structure, functions and processes of these systems, to livelihoods and food security, and to the supply of a wide range of ecosystem services. It has been managed or influenced by farmers, livestock keepers, forest dwellers, fish farmers and fisherfolk for hundreds of generations. Prepared through a participatory, country-driven process, the report draws on information from 91 country reports to provide a description of the roles and importance of biodiversity for food and agriculture, the drivers of change affecting it and its current status and trends. It describes the state of efforts to promote the sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity for food and agriculture, including through the development of supporting policies, legal frameworks, institutions and capacities. It concludes with a discussion of needs and challenges in the future management of biodiversity for food and agriculture. The report complements other global assessments prepared under the auspices of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, which have focused on the state of genetic resources within particular sectors of food and agriculture.
