BookletGuidelineGuidelines on Management Options for Empty Pesticide Containers 2008These guidelines provide advice on the management of one-way pesticide containers following the deployment of their contents. Unless empty pesticide containers are managed correctly, they are hazardous to both mankind and the environment. There is a danger that empty containers could be reused for storing food and water, which could result in pesticide poisonings. Containers abandoned in the environment can lead to pesticide pollution in soil and groundwater.
