    Within the context of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) conference, the IAMCR Rural Communication Working Group (RUC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) awarded 2,500 USD to authors of research papers that advance our understanding of applications of Rural Communication Services (RCS), particularly in the areas of agriculture, family farming, natural resource management, climate change adaptation, food security, and disaster risk reduction and management. The award aims to recognize and further encourage scholarship that enhances our understanding of rural communication and RCS, particularly their application in Africa, Asia, or Latin America. Anchored on the umbrella theme “Inhabiting the planet: Challenges for media, communication and beyond”, the following winning papers shall be presented at the IAMCR conference 2023 in Lyon, France on Wednesday, July 12.
