Book (stand-alone)System Priorities for CGIAR Research 2005–201
dec/05
2005Also available in:
No results found. The overall goal of the research carried out by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and its partners continues to be to improve the livelihood of low-income people in developing countries through reduced poverty, food insecurity, malnutrition, gender inequality, and child mortality, to help cope with HIV/AIDS, and to foster better institutions, policies, and sustainable management of natural resources of particular importance to agriculture and poor people. The goal is fully compatible with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the CGIAR aims to make the greatest possible contribution not only to their achievement but also to the achievement of similar goals beyond 2015. This aim is reflected in the effort to set priorities for CGIAR research to 2015 reported here.
