dc.description.abstract | This Regional Strategy for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and other Emerging Infectious Diseases of Animals in Asia and the Pacific has been prepared by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It is a revision of the Strategic Framework for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Prevention and Control in Southeast Asia developed in May 2006. The Strategy has been revised in recognition of the changing situation of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the region a nd advances in knowledge about approaches to its control.
