Different partners and countries collaborated in pursuing a shared objective in the Resilient Food Systems (RFS) programme. One of the key strategies in this collaboration was the clear allocation of roles and responsibilities for different agencies and partners, forming the foundation for an accountability framework. This clarity ensured that each entity knew its specific contributions towards the shared goal. The roles of each UN agency within the RFS programme were assigned based on their areas of expertise, mandates and capacities. In allocating roles and responsibilities, a systems approach was used, considering the trade-offs and synergies.
