Namibia's story is an example of a low-hanging fruit with high impact. By prioritizing the provision of nutritious school meals, the programme has brought about a myriad of benefits across various sectors. Notably, it has significantly improved school enrolment, retention rates, and the overall health of vulnerable children, thus making substantial strides in education and health. Additionally, it has strengthened the rural economy by affording smallholder farmers a stable market, consequently enhancing their income and fostering economic empowerment. Moreover, through promoting organic practices and facilitating knowledge sharing within communities, schools have become central hubs for driving food systems transformation. Through the implementation of water-saving techniques and advocating for regenerative agriculture, the programme has actively contributed to climate action efforts.
