The Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean 2023 has been jointly prepared by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Food Programme (WFP).

The current edition was developed under the coordination of Daniela Godoy (FAO), with the general guidance of Maya Takagi (FAO). The development of the report was supervised by a steering committee consisting of representatives from the five co-publishing partners: Daniela Godoy (FAO), Isabel de la Peña (IFAD), Leo Nederveen (PAHO/WHO), Paula Veliz (UNICEF) and Carla Mejía (WFP). In addition, Israel Ríos (FAO), Yvette Fautsch (UNICEF), Maaike Arts (UNICEF), Alonda Aragón (PAHO/WHO) and Fabio da Silva Gomes (PAHO/WHO) contributed to the coordination of the report and provided technical support. The heads and senior staff of the five co-authoring agencies also provided valuable feedback and were responsible for final approval of the report.
