    FAO Strategy on Climate Change 2022–2031 2022
    The FAO Strategy on Climate Change 2022–2031 was endorsed by FAO Council in June 2022. This new strategy replaces the previous strategy from 2017 to better FAO's climate action with the Strategic Framework 2022-2031, and other FAO strategies that have been developed since then. The Strategy was elaborated following an inclusive process of consultation with FAO Members, FAO staff from headquarters and decentralized offices, as well as external partners. It articulates FAO's vision for agrifood systems by 2050, around three main pillars of action: at global and regional level, at country level, and at local level. The Strategy also encourages key guiding principles for action, such as science and innovation, inclusiveness, partnerships, and access to finance.

    The Asia-Pacific region is the world’s leader in total aquaculture production. In 2012 the region produced 58.5 million tones of aquaculture products, accounting for 89 percent of global aquaculture production and compromising more than 225 species and species groups. The region contributed 79 percent of the global aquaculture value for 2012, with an average annual growth rate of 6.4 percent per year from 2002 to 2012. The purpose of this document is to inform member countries of the current st atus of aquaculture production by species, commodity group, group, country and subregion, and of important trends in aquaculture development in Asia and the Pacific. Data tables are included as annexes to the report.

    A Joint Meeting of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the World Health Organization (WHO) Core Assessment Group on Pesticide Residues (JMPR) was held from 6–17 September and 4 and 7 October 2021. The meeting evaluated 15 pesticides for residues with regard to additional uses. The meeting estimated maximum residue levels and recommended them for use by CCPR and estimated supervised trials median residue (STMR) and highest residue (HR) levels as a basis for estimating dietary exposures.
