    On 22-24 May 2023, FAO, in cooperation with the Korea Forest Service of the Republic of Korea, organized a workshop for Asia-Pacific countries to identify opportunities, challenges and regionspecific actions to unlock the full potential of forests food systems, with a specific focus on forest plants, fungi and insects. Over 80 participants joined in the workshop, sharing experiences and lessons learned from Australia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Solomon Islands, Thailand and Viet Nam. Participants also had the opportunity to collectively identify and promote priority actions to enhance the sustainable use of forest foods and associated systems, and define and prioritize relevant actions for the region.
