No results found.At its 74th session, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2021 the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables (IYFV). The primary role of the food and the agriculture sector is to adequately feed people by increasing the availability, affordability and consumption of varied, safe and nutritious foods that are in line with dietary recommendations and environmental sustainability. In this way, the IYFV is a unique opportunity to raise awareness on the important role of fruits and vegetables in human nutrition, food security and health and as well in achieving the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These guidelines were designed to support all stakeholders that want to take part in activities and events related to the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables (IYFV). Therefore, for consistency, when using the IYFV visual identity you must always comply with these guidelines. -

No results found.On 20 December 2017, the United Nations General Assembly, in its 72nd session, proclaimed the United Nations Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028)1 to serve as a framework for countries to develop public policies and investments to strengthen the position of family farming in economic, environmental and social policies at all levels farming, and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing family farming from a holistic perspective and including rural poverty eradication in all its forms and dimensions. The United Nations resolution explicitly calls upon the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to lead the implementation of the Decade, in collaboration with other relevant organizations of the United Nations system, including by identifying and developing possible activities and programmes, within their mandates and existing resources and through voluntary contributions, as appropriate. This document describes the terms and requirements on which the United Nations Decade of Family Farming visual identity, which is property of the United Nations, may be used. -
