dc.description.abstract The region of the CCLME (Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem) covers the EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) from Morocco to Guinea, through Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea Bissau. It includes the islands of Cape Verde and the Canary Islands. It extends about 7132 km of the coastline and a total of 2,392,054 km2 in the EEZ1 of which 845,702 km2 continental shelf, or nearly 35%.
