    The African Development Bank (AfDB) is funding the Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security in the Horn of Africa (BREFONS) project – South Sudan component. The project aims to enhance the livelihoods in Horn of Africa with a focus on food and nutrition security, increasing resilience, and promoting peace and security. The project is being implemented by FAO on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) of the Republic of South Sudan. Under this projects, different project construction infrastructure in the greater Kapoeta counties were undertaken with crucial implementation of environmental and social activities. This is according to need of preventing and responding to the threat to community livelihoods posed by the Drought and vagaries of weather and strengthen the beneficiary’s system for preparedness.
