The "Sustainable Broiler Production in North Macedonia - A Value Chain Guide to Best Practice" is to enhance the development of a sustainable broiler meat industry in North Macedonia so as to deliver a high-quality product that can compete directly with the current high volume of imported product. This Guide is a tool that supports the FAO mission to advance track record of efficiency gains and better environmental stewardship. Broiler growers, integrators, processors, suppliers, foodservice companies, retailers and outside stakeholders realise the importance of working together to collaborate on the shared goals of implementing best practices, tracking progress, and continuing to drive continuous improvement through the creation of the Guide including the best management practices as outlined in this document. The Guide is a tool to support and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability through leadership, innovation, multi-stakeholder engagement and collaboration. It successfully aggregates a list of best management practices that could be utilised on farms, hatcheries and processing operations both today and into the future. It also incorporates the important function of maintaining the highest achievable standards for welfare and food safety. The Guide has been developed by FAO and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food of the Republic of North Macedonia. It is expected that this publication will serve as a practical guide providing valuable information to both experienced and novice poultry producers alike, as well as for students, researchers. -

Процедура „Без-приговор“ за Република Северна Македонија e технички документ развиен во рамки на Проектот „Поддршка за управување со ефективен национален координативен механизам за Зелениот климатски фонд“, кој ги ангажираше сите релевантни засегнати страни во консултативни процеси со цел приоритизација на стратешките климатски инвестиции кои би се финансирале преку ЗКФ. Документот е изработен со техничка поддршка на ФАО и инпутот на техничкиот персонал на релевантните национални институции вклучени во дискусиите во текот на 2019 година, а особено благодарение на водството на Кабинетот на заменикот претседател на Владата на Република Северна Македонија задолжен за економски прашања и Министерството за животна средина и просторно планирање на Република Северна Македонија. Овој технички документ е средство со кое се зајакнува сопственоста од страна на државата за зголемен пристап до климатски финансии и за транспарентно и партиципативно техничко оценување на националните приоритети во ангажманот со Зелениот климатски фонд. Документот ќе служи на потребите на различните засегнати страни и ќе обезбеди насоки и сите потребни елементи за развој на предлози со висок квалитет во Република Северна Македонија за финансиска поддршка од Зелениот климатски фонд. -

Овој технички документ е развиен во рамки на Проектот „Поддршка за управување со ефективен национален координативен механизам за Зелениот климатски фонд“, кој ги ангажираше сите релевантни засегнати страни во консултативни процеси со цел приоритизација на стратешките климатски инвестиции кои би се финансирале преку ЗКФ. Овој Водич ги содржи основните информации за Зелениот климатски фонд (ЗКФ). Целта на Водичот е да ги информира засегнатите страни кои работат во областа на климатските промени и одржливиот развој како да пристапат до ресурсите на ЗКФ и да спроведуваат проекти финансирани од ЗКФ во Северна Македонија.

This new strategy replaces the previous strategy from 2017 to better FAO's climate action with the Strategic Framework 2022-2031, and other FAO strategies that have been developed since then. The Strategy was elaborated following an inclusive process of consultation with FAO Members, FAO staff from headquarters and decentralized offices, as well as external partners. It articulates FAO's vision for agrifood systems by 2050, around three main pillars of action: at global and regional level, at country level, and at local level. The Strategy also encourages key guiding principles for action, such as science and innovation, inclusiveness, partnerships, and access to finance.

No results found.The FAOSTAT emissions database is composed of several data domains covering the categories of the IPCC Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector of the national GHG inventory. Energy use in agriculture is additionally included as relevant to emissions from agriculture as an economic production sector under the ISIC A statistical classification, though recognizing that, in terms of IPCC, they are instead part of the Energy sector of the national GHG inventory. FAO emissions estimates are available over the period 1961–2018 for agriculture production processes from crop and livestock activities. Land use emissions and removals are generally available only for the period 1990–2019. This analytical brief focuses on overall trends over the period 2000–2018.
