No results found.A Joint Meeting of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the World Health Organization (WHO) Core Assessment Group on Pesticide Residues (JMPR) was held in Rome, FAO headquarters, from 13 to 22 September 2022 with FAO pre-meeting from 8 to 12 September 2022. The FAO Panel Members held its pre-meetings in biweekly virtual preparatory sessions from July to September. The WHO Core Assessment Group had organized several preparatory sessions during 2021 and 2022. The Meeting involved 45 participants from five continents spanning most time zones. The Meeting evaluated 47 pesticides and estimated 500 maximum residue limits (MRLs). -

Este programa conjunto se basa en un memorando de entendimiento entre las dos organizaciones. Esta segunda edición de 2021 del manual sobre la elaboración y el uso de las especificaciones de la FAO y la OMS para los plaguicidas, que sólo está disponible en línea, sustituye a la tercera revisión de la primera edición de marzo de 2020 y a los manuales y documentos de orientación anteriores publicados por la FAO o la OMS sobre este tema. Este manual proporciona el proceso estándar, los requisitos y procedimientos unificados, las definiciones y la nomenclatura armonizadas, las directrices técnicas y las normas aplicables a los plaguicidas para su uso en la agricultura y la salud pública. Las especificaciones de la FAO y la OMS para los plaguicidas basadas en este manual se elaboran a través de la Reunión Conjunta FAO/OMS sobre Especificaciones de Plaguicidas (JMPS) y se publican en los sitios web de las dos organizaciones.

No results found.The Joint FAO/WHO Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR) comprises the FAO Panel on Pesticide Residues and the WHO Core Assessment Group. The WHO Core Assessment Group is responsible for reviewing pesticide toxicological data and estimating acceptable daily intake (ADI) and acute reference doses (ARfDs) and characterizing other toxicological criteria. The FAO Panel on Pesticide Residues reviews the results of a range of studies including residue field trials and processing studies. These studies, called evaluations, are conducted for each individual pesticide and published in this report for the benefit of national governments who may use the information while undertaking national assessments.
