The Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) for the programme "Restoring Livelihoods and Revitalizing Rural Communities Affected by Mines and Explosive Remnants of War" outlines procedures to manage potential incidents during project implementation in Ukraine. The programme, set to run from July 2024 to March 2025 (Phase 1), involves demining, clearing unexploded ordnance, and restoring agricultural livelihoods in three oblasts: Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson. FAO, in collaboration with local and international partners, will ensure safe implementation through risk mitigation measures, including UXO clearance, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency protocols. The EPP emphasizes safety and compliance with international mine action standards to protect workers and ensure secure project sites.
