No results found.تتضمن هذه الوثيقة تقرير الدورة الثامنة للهيئة الإقليمية لمصايد الأسماك التي عقدت في مسقط، سلطنة عمان، في الفترة 12-14 مايو/أيار2015. وحضر الدورة 21 مندوبا من جميع البلدان الثمانية الأعضاء في الهيئة، ومنظمتان مراقبتان (اتفاقية التجارة الدولية في الأنواع النباتية والحيوانية البرية المعرضة للخطر، والصندوق العالمي للطبيعة). واطلعَّت الهيئة على عدد من القضايا المطروحة للمناقشة وعلى القرار المتعلق بالتعاون الإقليمي في إدارة مصايد الأسماك وتنمية تربية الأحياء المائية. وتناولت الهيئة التقرير المالي الذ ي يغطي الأنشطة خلال فترة السنتين السابقة، والحالة الراهنة لمساهمات الأعضاء وحالة الموارد المالية اللازمة للاضطلاع بالعمل في فترة السنتين 2015-2016. واعتمدت الهيئة بيان الاختصاصات المنقحة لجماعة العمل المعنية بتربية الأحياء المائية(WGA) ولجهات الاتصال ولموظفي المركز الإقليمي للنظام الإقليمي للمعلومات عن تربية الأحياء المائية. ونُقحت قائمة أنواع المصيد ذات الاهتمام المشترك في الهيئة الإقليمية لمصايد الأسماك، واعتُمدت لتشمل أربعة أنواع إضافية من الأسماك الزعنفية. وجرى التصديق على برنامج العمل والمي زانية للفترة 2015-2016، مع تخفيض في الأنشطة بالمقارنة بالفترات السابقة بين الدورتين. واعتمدت الهيئة توصية الهيئة الإقليمية لمصايد الأسماكRECOFI/8/2015/1 بشأن الحد الأدنى للبيانات والمعلومات المتعلقة بتربية الأحياء المائية المطلوبة في التقارير. وعلاوة على ذلك، قررت الهيئة أن يشمل النظام الإقليمي للمعلومات عن تربية الأحياء المائية بيانات مصايد الأسماك الطبيعية التي يتم جمعها في إطار توصية الهيئة الإقليمية لمصايد الأسماكRECOFI/ 6/2011/1 بشأن الحد الأدنى من البيانات المطلوبة في التقارير في منطقة اله يئة. وأخيرا، نظرت الهيئة في تعزيز الأمانة، بما في ذلك وجودها في بلد من البلدان الأعضاء في الهيئة، واقترحت إجراء مزيد من النظر في هذا الأمر والموافقة عليه في دورة تخصص لهذا الغرض. وعرضت دولة الكويت استضافة مقر الهيئة وأمانتها، إذا تقرر نقل مكانهما. -

No results found.Fisheries and aquaculture contribute significantly to the economic growth of countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The sector also contributes to food and nutrition security and livelihoods of an estimated 170 million directly and indirectly engaged in the value chains in fisheries and aquaculture production. Capture fisheries production has stagnated in the last 2 decades, while aquaculture production continued to increase and by 2014 exceeded production from capture fisheries in the Asia Pacific region. On the other hand, countries in the region are identified as among the most vulnerable to climate change impacts that will significantly affect the fisheries and aquaculture production chains. The region, which is home to more than 90 percent of the global population, also has the greatest exposure to risks related to extreme climatic events including tropical cyclones, storm surges and resulting coastal flooding on one hand, and extended droughts on the other hand. Hence, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture development in the region is of vital importance and continues to be a significant development challenge. -

No results found.The Fifth Session of the Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the period 10-12 October 2016. The following four countries attended the Session as members of the Commission: Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey. Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan attended the Session as observers. The Commission agreed to maintain its administrative budget at USD 180 000 for the years 2016 and 2017. The Commission, having a dopted 11 recommendations, guidelines and better management practices for inland fisheries and aquaculture in its first four sessions (2011-2015), monitored the progress made with implementation of these decisions in the region. The outcome of the monitoring exercise was that the guidelines and recommendations adopted are very relevant and that most are actively being implemented by the countries. The Commission decided to allocate more funds to implementation of its 2nd Regional Work Programme (2016-2020). Priorities for 2017 and 2018 include, amongst others: habitat rehabilitation for inland fisheries, methodologies for inland fisheries stocks assessments, development of best practices for cage aquaculture in reservoirs and lakes, capacity building of small-scale fishers, and training for the establishment of national fisheries and aquaculture data and information management systems.

Los estudios realizados en Colombia, Nicaragua y República Dominicana identificaron oportunidades y brechas en esta vinculación, especialmente para comunidades rurales vulnerables, considerando aspectos de género y las necesidades de grupos indígenas y afrodescendientes. El proyecto aportó valiosas lecciones al campo de la gestión del riesgo de desastres. -
