dc.description.abstract The United Nations has declared 2014 the International Year of Family Farming (IYFF) – with the slogan Feeding the World, Caring for the Earth - to shine a light on these important and unsung heroes of the global food production system. For FAO, family farming is understood to include crop, livestock, forestry, fishery and aquaculture producers who use predominantly family labour.
