    The Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Cluster in Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) has been in operation since March 2019. The Government of the United States of America through the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance of the United States Agency for International Development contributed USD 575 000 to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for the implementation of a project entitled “Supporting Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster coordination in Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic)”. The project was carried out from 1 October 2020 to 30 November 2022 and aimed at strengthening the FSL Cluster in Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) in order to develop a harmonized programmatic approach and coordinate an effective response to contribute to improving the food security of affected populations.

    The “Supporting critical agricultural value chains in food crisis countries in the context of COVID-19” project was implemented by FAO from 8 July 2020 to 28 February 2022. Component 1 of the award, setting up a global data and analysis facility on the impacts of COVID-19 on agriculture and food security in food crisis contexts, was formulated to improve decision-making in support of food security and livelihoods of all actors in key agricultural, livestock and fisheries value chains in high priority food crisis countries, with a focus on producers.
