    يقدم الكتيب نظرة عامة حول برنامج التعاون الفني لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة بالمملكة العربية السعودية. حيث تركز الشراكة الاستراتيجية طويلة المدى بين المنظمة والمملكة والقائمة منذ عام 1948 على الزراعة والأمن الغذائي والتنمية المستدامة. وتهدف المرحلة الحالية من برنامج التعاون الفني إلى تعزيز قدرات قطاع الأغذية والزراعة في المملكة للمساهمة في تحقيق رؤية المملكة 2030. وتشمل المشاريع الجارية في إطار برنامج التعاون الفني الحالي مشروع "تعزيز قدرات وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة لتنفيذ برنامج التنمية الريفية الزراعة المستدامة"، ومشروع "ترشيد استهلاك المياه ورفع كفاءة الري بين المزارعين" ومشروع "تعزيز القدرات الوطنية لإدارة الري". وتشمل هذه المشاريع مبادرات وأنشطة للزراعة المستدامة والري الفعال وتربية النحل وإنتاج العسل وإنتاج البن العربي والورد والنباتات العطرية والفواكه شبه الاستوائية والزراعة البعلية للحبوب وتعزيز قدرات صغار الصيادين ومربي الأسماك ورعاة الماشية، والإدارة المستدامة للمراعي والغابات والموارد الطبيعية لدعم سبل العيش لسكان الريف. كما يدعم البرنامج تعزيز القيمة المضافة من الحيازات الصغيرة والأنشطة الريفية التقليدية وتطوير استراتيجيات التسويق الزراعي وخدمات الأبحاث والإرشاد الزراعي، وتعزيز المؤسسات الريفية والتعاونيات الزراعية في المملكة العربية السعودية.

    The Protocol of 8-9 July 1946 relative to the dissolution of the International Institute of Agriculture, transferred the functions and assets of the said Institute to FAO. Of these assets, the Library is unquestionably the most outstanding and is a lasting record of the Institute's work and its achievement in the field of agriculture. This catalogue will undoubtedly contribute towards a better knowledge of this international Library. This volume in its present form, represents the systematic card-index, by subject of the Brussels Decimal Classification, in French and English, and it's supplemented by the general alphabetical index of authors.
