No results found.The One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) initiative was officially launched globally by Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on 7 September 2021. It aims to enhance the sustainability of value chains of the special agricultural products (SAPs). This publication captures the outcomes of the FAO-JAAS Launch Event and Workshop on the Implementation of FAO’s One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) Initiative for Pacific Island Countries, held from 16 to 22 October 2024 in Nanjing, China. Co-organized by the FAO OCOP Secretariat, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), the China-Pacific Island Countries Agriculture Cooperation and Demonstration Center (CPIAC), and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) of Solomon Islands, the workshop emphasized national leadership, value chain development, resource mobilization, and synergies. It strengthened collaboration, technical exchanges, and networks to accelerate OCOP’s contribution to more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems worldwide, especially for Pacific Island countries. -
