dc.description.abstract This brochure presents the major findings of a research paper on Dairy's Impact on Hunger Reduction. Dairy’s Impact on Reducing Global Hunger. (i) Household milk production increases household milk consumption, and increased milk consumption results in child linear growth and reduced stunting; (ii) Dairy development, including expanding cow ownership, improving cow productivity and facilitating milk marketing, is a potential solution to poverty and hunger, especially when accompanied by nutrition education and appropriate food safety systems; (iii) Virtually all existing analyses (both from experimental and observational studies) found a positive association between milk/dairy consumption and child growth.
