Dorze House: TREEHOUSING International Wood Design Competition poster

Abstract

The Dorze House design proposes a modern version of a traditional Dorze village house that maintains the local traditions of working with bamboo and natural bres while offering a higher standard of hygiene and comfort.</p> This poster is one of a selection of entries from the TREEHOUSING International Wood Design Competition that was run by FAO and DBR | Design Build Research School on the occasion of the XIV World Forestry Congress in Durban, South Africa, in September 2015.The competition chal lenged architecture students, professional architects and designers to develop innovative and sustainable wood housing and urban building solutions.
