It is vertically and horizontally linked with a host of GoB policies and plans that substantiates Government’s declared objective for sustainable develop ment along with economic growth and poverty reduction. It provides a detailed plan, investment need and priority programs, which is directly linked with the CIP. The declared objective of the Master Plan is “to provide a road map for an integrated rehabilitation and development effort in Bangladesh’s coastal zone aiming at sustainable food security, poverty reduction and livelihood development for the poor”. It is expected that the combined outcome of all these interventions will lead to enhance d productivity, balanced growth, value chain management, increased employment and increased access to food and nutrition through appropriate institutional arrangements and sustainable resource management.
