    This document contains the report of the Second Session of the Joint FAO/IMO Ad Hoc Working Group on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing and Related Matters (JWG), held in Rome, Italy, on 16–18 July 2007. The UN Commission on Sustainable Development, which met in April 1999, highlighted the issue of flag and port State responsibilities and the need for FAO and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to cooperate on solving problems relating to IUU Fishing. Accordingly, FAO pr esented a paper to the IMO Maritime Safety Committee suggesting draft terms of reference for an Ad Hoc Working Group. The first session of the JWG was held in Rome, Italy on 9–11 October 2000.
