No results found.The role of alternative fibre sources for the production of panels and paper in China is the subject of this working paper. In the light of an increasing supply demand gap for industrial roundwood, wheat-straw, rice-straw, reeds, bamboo, fibre plants and bagasse will become increasingly important as raw materials. The current resource base for the nonwood fibre sources and contraints to its exploitation is described along with likely future supply.
