2016Con la aprobación de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible, el mundo se ha comprometido a erradicar el hambre y acabar con todas las formas de malnutrición en 2030. El Decenio de las Naciones Unidas de Acción sobre la Nutrición (2016-2025) proclamado por la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas el 1 de abril de 2016, insta a acelerar la acción mundial para alcanzar este objetivo. -

2022Este documento resume la consulta en línea “Decenio de las Naciones Unidas de acción sobre la nutrición 2016-2025: acciones prioritarias en materia de nutrición para los próximos cinco años”, celebrada en el Foro Global sobre Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutrición de la FAO (Foro FSN) del 20 de mayo al 21 de junio de 2021. La consulta se organizó en el contexto del proceso de examen de mitad de período del Decenio de las Naciones Unidas de acción sobre la nutrición (“Decenio de la Nutrición”), y se centró en el plan para el futuro del Decenio de la Nutrición para el período 2021-2025, tal como se presentó en un documento de previsión preparado por la Secretaría conjunta FAO/OMS del Decenio de la Nutrición. La consulta fue facilitada por Stineke Oenema, de ONU-Nutrición. -

Back at their restaurant or home, each chef prepares easy dishes and gives their best kept secrets. Each chef provides 3 recipes that are beautifully illustrated.

However, less attention is being paid to the biodiversity beneath our feet, soil biodiversity, which drives many processes that produce food or purify soil and water. This report is the result of an inclusive process involving more than 300 scientists from around the world under the auspices of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and its Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative, and the European Commission. It presents concisely the state of knowledge on soil biodiversity, the threats to it, and the solutions that soil biodiversity can provide to problems in different fields. It also represents a valuable contribution to raising awareness of the importance of soil biodiversity and highlighting its role in finding solutions to today's global threats. -
