No results found.The Steering Committee Meeting to Prepare for the second Regional Intergovernmental Meeting on the Establishment of a Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries Arrangement (Ankara, Turkey, 24–26 March 2009) was organized by FAO in response to the request from governments at the Regional Intergovernmental Meeting to Initiate the Establishment of a Central Asian Fisheries Organization, held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 10 to 12 November 2008.The meeting initiated the drafting work on the sub stantive issues of the agreement and decided on the next steps including a timeline to confirm the commitment to a cooperative arrangement and the choice on the option for the regional cooperative arrangement in order to prepare for the second Regional Intergovernmental Meeting on the Establishment of a Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries Arrangement, which is scheduled to take place in Trabzon, Turkey, from 3 to 5 June 2009. -

No results found.The Second Inter-governmental Meeting on the Establishment of a Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries Organization (Trabzon, Turkey, 3-5 June 2009) was convened at the invitation of the Government of Turkey. The Meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) of Turkey and was organized by the Trabzon Central Fisheries Research Institute of Turkey. The meeting discussed, revised and accepted through consensus the draft ¿Agreement on the Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission¿. The meeting requested FAO to present the Agreement to the FAO Council and Conference in 2009. The Delegation of Kyrgyzstan to the meeting offered to host the third intergovernmental meeting in September 2010. -

No results found.This report illustrates the food loss assessment studies undertaken along the maize, sunflower and beans supply chains in Uganda in 2015-16 and 2016-17. They aimed to identify the critical loss points in the selected supply chains, the key stages at which food losses occur, why they occur, the extent and impact of food losses and the economic, social and environmental implications of the food losses. Furthermore, these studies also evaluated the feasibility of potential interventions to reduce food losses and waste. -

Los estudios realizados en Colombia, Nicaragua y República Dominicana identificaron oportunidades y brechas en esta vinculación, especialmente para comunidades rurales vulnerables, considerando aspectos de género y las necesidades de grupos indígenas y afrodescendientes. El proyecto aportó valiosas lecciones al campo de la gestión del riesgo de desastres. -
