No results found.Los países de América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) han experimentado enlos últimos años una mayor presión sobre sus recursos naturales, nohabiendo podido transformar el modelo productivo y generandoimpactos ambientales que afectan sobre todo a la población másvulnerable. Reforzar las políticas bajo un enfoque agroambiental quefomenten la viabilidad económica y ambiental, fueron los objetivos delproyecto para los países interesados, bajo un proceso de coordinacióninternacional e interinstitucional. La región cuenta ahora concompetencias reforzadas para la aplicación de las Directrices Voluntariaspara Políticas Agroambientales, a fin de avanzar hacia el desarrollo ruralsostenible y la consecución de la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional enun escenario de cambio global. -

Both countries are leading suppliers of agricultural products to global markets, where exportable supplies are often concentrated in a handful of countries. The Russian Federation is also a leading producer and exporter of fuels and fertilizers. The war in Ukraine is resulting in growing global market tightness, lifting prices for food, fertilizers and fuels to new highs. This report reviews the main market risks associated with the conflict, assesses the impacts on global food supplies and food security and puts forward policy recommendations and proposals to deal with the situation.
