Synopsis (short abstract) The European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD) risk reduction program in the European neighboring regions of North Africa, Near East, and Southeast European Neighborhood is delivered within the Hold-FAST strategy. This strategy continues the focus upon FMD risk reduction and extends the scope of preparedness and risk reduction activities to similar transboundary animal diseases which pose an immediate threat to the EuFMD Member Nations.
