dc.description.abstract Since its establishment in 2007, the FAO Subregional Office for Eastern Africa (SFE) has provided technical support for programme development and implementation, in accordance with Subregional priorities in areas where FAO has a comparative advantage. SFE serves as the main port of call in providing technical support and backstopping to the eight FAO member countries of Burundi, Djibouti, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda and the host country Ethiopia. The main goal of the SFE is to assi st member countries in the Subregion achieve a state of economic growth with meaningful impacts on the livelihoods of people as well as ensuring household food security through sustainable use of natural resources.
