No results found.When the UN Statistical Commission agreed on the SDG monitoring framework, these indicators were classified as Tier III, as there was no harmonized methodology available to measure them. An international methodology for measuring them was proposed by FAO and member countries were consulted on this purpose. This working paper offers the statistical methodology for computing and monitoring target 2.3 and measure progress in SDG indicators 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 approved by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on the Sustainable Development Goals (IAEG-SDG) in September 2018. -

The proposals comprise both established and potential indicators in areas where FAO has unique expertise and abundant experience as the leading UN specialized bod y committed to food security and sustainable development. These areas include ending hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition; better managing natural resources; and ensuring more sustainable ecological processes for a healthier environment.
