This document is the Report of the Sixth Session of the Coordinating Working Party on Atlantic Fishery Statistics (CWP) held at the ICES Headquarters, Charlottenlund Slot, Charlottenlund Copenhagen, Denmark, 3-7 February 1969. Until the end of 1968 the CWP was known as the Continuing Working Party on Fishery Statistics in the North Atlantic Area. No results found.The Report of the Fifteenth Session of the Coordinating Working Party on Atlantic Fishery Statistics (CWP) held in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, 8-14 July 1992, is presented. Major topics considered were: recommendations and proposals from CWP-14 and progress; agency programmes and publications presenting Atlantic fishery statistics; high seas fisheries statistics; elimination of discrepancies in agency databases; quan tities and values of landings; STATLANT questionnaires; misreporting/non-reporting of data; inland fisheries concepts and definitions; aquaculture statistics (separation of aquaculture data from catch data, definition of aquaculture, hatchery data); recreational fisheries; conversion factors; data transmission using electronic and magnetic media; use of ICCA T tuna data by regional agencies; fishing vessel statistics (including world register of tuna vessels); food balance sheets; the publicatio n "Handbook of Fishery Statistics"; STATLANT Newsletter; country and nationality issues; species concepts and definitions; the CWP and its functions.

No results found.Volume II of the proceedings on the above theme, which was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 11 to 14 February 2003. The three primary objectives of the symposium were to provide a forum (i) to review and synthesize the latest information on large rivers; (ii) to raise the political, public and scientific awareness of the importance of river systems, the living aquatic resources they support and the people that depend on them; and (iii) to contribute to better management, conservation and restor ation of the living aquatic resources of large rivers. Over 220 river scientists and managers from around the world attended the symposium. Selected papers appearing in the proceedings represent 96 rivers from 61 river basins from all continents and climatic zones. -
