    The Gender Asia Pacific Newsletter is issued periodically to showcase FAO’s good examples, accomplishments, latest knowledge products and events in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Asia-Pacific region. The Gender Asia Pacific Newsletter covers updates on the regional gender strategy, successful gender mainstreaming initiatives from the field, new publications and events, significant global gender publications, and a list of gender-related resources. It introduces activities, results and actual experiences of FAO teams on the ground who strive to address gender gaps and inequalities that challenge the elimination of hunger and poverty in the context of Asia and the Pacific. This newsletter, which is primarily intended for FAO employees, may also be of interest to the public and development partners who would like to learn about FAO's initiatives to promote gender equality in the Asia-Pacific region. The publication responds to one of the recommended action points of the FAO Regional Gender Strategy and Action Plan 2022–2025 for Asia and the Pacific - to produce and disseminate gender-responsive communication materials to support women’s empowerment.
