No results found.Dieppe Bay fishing Community is located along the Northern Atlantic coast of the island of Saint Kitts. The area is famous for its large coral reef system. The fishing community over the years has steadily grown as the demand for fish from communities and businesses increases. The community is currently made up of: 75+ fishers; 20 fishing vessels; 1 fishers cooperative - appisterre Fishermen Marketing Supply Limited. The fishing community catches a wide variety of fish, however lobster, mahi mahi, wahoo and nurse shark are the most popular fish caught by the fishers. -

No results found.Newcastle is a relatively small community located in Nevis. The area is known for its beaches and is adjacent to the largest coral reef system and sea grass bed in Saint Kitts & Nevis. The fishers of Newcastle have a big reputation for the colourful species of fish caught such as parrot fish. Most of the fishers in the area are part-time fishers. However, due to their reputation, communities all around Nevis race to the Newcastle Bay landing site on the weekend to purchase fish from the fisherfolk. The Newcastle Bay fishing community is made up of: 20+ fishers; 10 fishing vessels; The Newcastle Bay Foundation, the main fisherfolk organisation and one of the more active groups in the community. -
