    Chilli bricks are combustible blocks composed of dried chilli peppers, elephant or buffalo dung, and water. When ignited, they emit a pungent smoke that repels elephants, thereby protecting crops and property from potential damage.

    This factsheet explains the use and purpose of chilli pepper propellant as a human-wildlife conflict mitigation measure. It is a plastic device designed to launch a ping-pong ball filled with chillioil extract directly at the target elephant. Upon impact, the ball bursts, releasing an atomized chilli pepper mixture that irritates the elephant, encouraging it to retreat.
