dc.description.abstract Presents three successful examples of agriculture best practice in Africa covering NERICA rice, cassava and maize. All the three case studies point to the importance of enhancing the participation of smallholder farmers in the implementation of food security programmes and the promotion of sustainable rural development approaches that focus on long term interventions.
