မြေပဲသည် အရေးကြီးဆီထွက်သီးနှံတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအလယ်ပိုင်း အပူပိုင်းဇုံဒေသ၊ အတွင်းရှိ တောင်သူအများစု၏ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကြောင်းလုပ်ငန်းအဖြစ် စိုက်ပျိုးသော အဓိကစားသုံးသီးနှံ တစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်ဆန်းသစ်သော သီးနှံထုတ်လုပ်မှု နည်းပညာ များနှင့် စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများ (GAP) ကို လက်ခံကျင့်သုံးခြင်းဖြင့် သီးနှံထုတ်လုပ်နိုင် စွမ်းအား မြင့်မားခြင်း၊ သီးနှံအရည်အသွေးနှင့် စျေးကွက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်နိုင်စွမ်းရရှိရေးတို့မှာ လိုအပ်နေဆဲဖြစ်ပါသည်။ GAP စိုက်ပျိုးနည်း စနစ်အများစုသည် သဘာဝအတိုင်းတည်ရှိသည့် စိုက်ပျိုးရေးနှင့် ဆက်နွယ်သောဂေဟဗေဒစနစ်နှင့် ဘိုးဘွား အစဉ်အဆက် လက်ခံကျင့်သုံးခဲ့သည့် တောင်သူများ၏ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာဗဟုသုတနှင့် အလေ့အကျင့်များ၊ အော်ဂဲနစ်မြေဩဇာ အသုံးပြုခြင်းအပါအဝင် IPM နှင့် ရာသီဥတု ဒဏ်ခံနိုင်သော သီးနှံမျိုးကွဲများ အသုံးပြုမှု၊ မိရိုးဖလာ သီးလှည့်စနစ်များကို အခြေခံသောကြောင့် အရင်းအနှီးချို့တဲ့သော လုပ်ကွက်ငယ် တောင်သူများ အနေဖြင့် ရရှိနိုင်သမျှ လယ်ယာအရင်းအမြစ်များကို အသုံးပြု၍ GAP စံနှုန်းများကိုလွယ်ကူစွာ လိုက်နာ ကျင့်သုံး နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ အရည်အသွေးကောင်းမွန်ပြီး သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိခိုက်မှုကင်းသည့် မျိုးစေ့နှင့် ဓာတ်မြေ ဩဇာကဲ့သို့သော စိုက်ပျိုးရေးသွင်းအားစုများကို ရွေးချယ်၍ စနစ်တကျမှန်ကန်စွာ အသုံးပြုပါက အကန့်အသတ်ရှိသော လယ်ယာအရင်းအမြစ်များကို ထိရောက်စွာ စီမံခန့်ခွဲနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ အစားအစာ အရည်အသွေး၊ ဘေးကင်းမှုနှင့် စျေးကွက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်မှု ကြီးထွားလာမှုအပေါ် စားသုံးသူ များ၏ သတိပြုမှုမြင့်တက်လာသည့် ခေတ်တွင် လယ်ယာလုပ်ငန်းစွမ်းဆောင်ရည်နှင့် အရင်းအမြစ်ထိန်းသိမ်းမှုနည်းလမ်းများ တိုးမြှင့် ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်းဖြင့် ဘေးကင်းပြီး အရည်အသွေးကောင်းမွန်သောအစားအစာများ ထုတ်လုပ်ရန် လိုအပ်လာပြီ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ တောင်သူအစုအဖွဲ့ များ ထိရောက်စွာ ဖွဲ့စည်းခြင်းဖြင့် မြေပဲစိုက်ပျိုးထုတ်လုပ်သူ အစုအဖွဲ့များ အားကောင်းလာ စေရေး၊ စွမ်းဆောင်ရည်မြှင့်တင်ရေးနှင့် စီမံကိန်း အထောက်အပံ့ဖြင့် စျေးကွက်ရရှိရေး ပံ့ပိုး ကူညီမှုများသည် ထုတ်လုပ်မှုစွမ်းအား ရေရှည်တည်တံ့စေရေးနှင့် တောင်သူဝင်ငွေ တိုးတက်ရေး တို့အတွက် အရေးကြီးပါသည်။ FAO-GAFSP-CFAVC အစီအစဉ်ဖြင့် မြေပဲအပါအဝင် စီမံကိန်းသီးနှံများအတွက် GAP နည်းပညာ ပြန့်ပွားရေး ဆောင်ရွက်ရာတွင် မြန်မာနှင့် အာဆီယံ GAP စံနှုန်းများကို အခြေခံ၍သီးနှံမရိတ်သိမ်းမီနှင့် ရိတ်သိမ်းပြီး နောက်ပိုင်း စိုက်ပျိုးထုတ်လုပ်မှု အလေ့အကျင့်နှင့် နည်းစနစ်များ အပါအဝင် လက်ရှိ GAP စံနှုန်းများကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးနိုင်ရန် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ယခု မြေပဲ GAP တွင် အစားအစာ ဘေးအန္တရာယ်ကင်းရှင်းရေး၊ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေး၊ သီးနှံများ၏ အရည် အသွေးနှင့် လုပ်သားများ ကျန်းမာရေး၊ ဘေးအန္တရာယ် ကင်းရှင်းရေးနှင့် လူမှုဘဝ သာယာရေး ကဏ္ဍများ ပါဝင်ပါသည်။ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများအား လက်တွေ့ ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်းဖြင့် အစားအစာဘေးအန္တရာယ်ကင်းရှင်းရေးနှင့် သီးနှံအရည်အသွေး ကောင်းမွန်ရေးအပြင် စီမံကိန်းဧရိယာအတွင်း ဂေဟစနစ်ရေရှည်တည်တံ့ခိုင်မြဲရေးအတွက်ပါ အထောက်အကူဖြစ်စေမည် ဖြစ်ပါ သည်။ မြန်မာ GAP Guideline နှင့် ASEAN GAP တို့ကို သေချာစွာ လေ့လာသုံးသပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ လယ်သမားများ၏ အသိပညာ၊ သွင်းအားစုရယူသုံးစွဲနိုင်မှုနှင့် သွင်းအားစုများကို ထိရောက်စွာအသုံးချနိုင်မှုဆိုင်ရာ လက်ရှိကွာဟ ချက်များ၊ စိုက်ခင်းနှင့်စျေးကွက်တွင် GAP သီးနှံများ၏ အရည် အသွေးမြှင့်တင်ရေး ပညာပေးလုပ်ငန်းများ၊ လက်ရှိ စိုက်ပျိုးထုတ်လုပ်မှုများအပေါ် လေ့လာ ဆန်းစစ်မှုများ ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ FAO မှ ပညာရှင်များအပါအဝင် ပါဝင်ပတ်သက်သူများ၏ လက်တွေ့ကျသော အကြံပြုချက်များကို အခြေခံအချက် အလက်များအဖြစ်စုစည်းပြီး အဆင့်မြှင့်တင်ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရေး ရည်ရွယ်ပြုစုခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်။စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများအား ကွင်းဆင်းပညာပေးလုပ်ငန်း ဆောင်ရွက်စဉ် ကာလအတွင်း တောင်သူခေါင်းဆောင် အဖွဲ့အစည်းများ၊ အစိုးရ ပုဂ္ဂလိက မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်း များ၊ တန်ဖိုးကွင်းဆက် လုပ်ငန်းတစ်လျောက် ပါဝင်ပတ်သက်သူများ၏ စွမ်းဆောင်ရည် မြှင့်တင်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများကို အတူတကွ ပူးပေါင်းညှိနှိုင်း၍ ချိတ်ဆက်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုပုံစံဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ယခုဖေါ်ပြထား သည့် မြေပဲသီးနှံ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများတွင် ထောက်ခံအကြံပြုချက် တစ်ခုချင်းစီ အလိုက် တောင်သူများ လွယ်လင့်တကူလိုက်နာဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်မည့် အဓိကကျသောနည်းပညာဆိုင်ရာ အချက်အလက် များ ပါဝင်ပါသည်။ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများ လိုက်နာကျင့်သုံးမှု တိုးမြှင့်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများ ဆောင်ရွက်စဉ်ကာလအတွင်း ထုတ်လုပ်သူတောင်သူ လယ်သမားများ၏ စွမ်းဆောင်ရည်မြှင့်တင်ရေးနှင့် ပညာပေးလုပ်ငန်းများအပေါ် အားဖြည့်ပေးနိုင်ရေး တို့အတွက် ကွင်းသရုပ်ပြကွက်များ စနစ်တကျပြုလုပ်ပညာပေးခြင်း၊ စျေးကွက်၊ သွင်းအားစုရောင်းချသူများနှင့် ချိတ်ဆက် ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးခြင်း လုပ်ငန်းများအား အလေးထားဆောင်ရွက်သွားရမည် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ကွင်းသရုပ်ပြပွဲများ၊ လယ်သမား ကွင်းသင်တန်းကျောင်းများ၊ သင်တန်းနှင့် ရိတ်သိမ်းပွဲများ၊ ကွင်းလေ့လာရေး ခရီးနှင့် သတင်းအချက်အလက်နှင့် ဆက်သွယ်ရေးဆိုင်ရာ နည်းပညာများ (ICT နည်းပညာများ) ကိုလည်း အားဖြည့် သုံးစွဲရန်လိုအပ်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ စိုက်ပျိုးရေး ပညာပေး ဝန်ထမ်းများနှင့် GAP လိုက်နာကျင့်သုံးသော တောင်သူလယ်သမားများအတွက် အထောက် အကူဖြစ်စေမည့် သီးနှံအလိုက် IPM လက်စွဲစာအုပ်များနှင့် FFS သင်ရိုးညွှန်းတမ်းများကိုလည်း ပူးတွဲ ဖော်ပြထားပါသည်။ -

Thorough reviews of Myanmar GAP guidelines 2018 and ASEAN GAP standards were conducted. Collaborative GAP situational analysis identified gaps in knowledge, access, and efficiency in inputs and service provision. Extensive secondary research, farmer discussions, and stakeholder insights provided a strong basis for sesame GAP upgrade. GAP promotion aims for systematic, field-based, impact-oriented rollout with stakeholder involvement. Capacity-building encompasses, local practitioners, lead farmer organizations, public-private partners, and value chain actors. The GAP framework includes concise key messages for agronomic success in each crop practice. Capacity-building through improved demonstrations, market linkages, and input suppliers, along with support for practitioners and extension agents, is central to successful GAP rollout. Farmer field schools, IPM training, exposure visits, and Information and communications technology (ICT) tools will further supplement GAP promotion. -

Chickpeas are vital for food security, nutrition, and farmer income in Myanmar's Central Dry Zone (CDZ), ranking second in South Asia after India. Collaborative research efforts of the Department of Agriculture Reform and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (DAR-ICRISAT) have contributed to an eightfold increase in crop yield due to the introduction of more efficient varieties of chickpea in the country. Good agricultural practices (GAP) and value chain promotion of chickpea have significant potential which can further boost productivity and increase exports. The upgraded GAP standards of chickpea are inclusive of food safety, produce quality, worker health and safety, and environmental management aspects, as they were developed in a context-specific and participatory manner encompassing validation from farmers about the existing constraints in application of GAP.Dissemination and improved application of chickpea GAP is planned to be achieved through a comprehensive capacity-building programme of chickpea smallholder farmers, public–private partners, and value chain actors, at pre- and post-harvest levels. Strengthening lead farmers and crop producers’ organizations through technical support, improved demonstration and market linkages will leverage the objectives of GAP adoption and upscaling in the target regions. On-farm demonstrations, farmer field schools (FFS), training, and information and communications technology (ICT) tools will supplement GAP promotional interventions. User-friendly integrated pest management (IPM) handbooks and FFS curricula support farmers and existing GAP initiatives will foster the approach of climate-smart good agricultural practices at farmers' field level and will ensure the sustainability of farmers' income through increased productivity, product market competence and produce quality.
