Synopsis (short abstract) The Government of the United States of America, through the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance of the United States Agency for International Development contributed USD 30 million to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the implementation of project OSRO/AFG/215/USA. The overall objective of the project was to improve the livelihoods and food security of vulnerable smallholder farming and livestock-keeping households in Afghanistan in Badakhshan, Badghis, Baghlan, Balkh, Bamyan, Daikundi, Farah, Faryab, Ghazni, Ghor, Helmand, Herat, Jawzjan, Kunduz, Nangarhar, Nimruz, Nuristan, Paktika, Paktya, Samangan, Takhar, Uruzgan, Wardak and Zabul provinces.
