No results found.South Sudan’s protracted conflict remains the largest contributing factor to internal displacement and exodus of refugees into neighbouring countries. In 2018, there has been an increase in the number of South Sudanese refugee arrivals in the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda. For 2019, FAO is requiring USD 34 million to assist 434 175 South Sudanese refugees in the region through livelihood support. -

For 2019, FAO requires USD 18.1 million to support 235 350 people in neighbouring countries - Angola, Rwanda, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania and Zambia. -

No results found.The protracted crisis coupled with the most severe drought in decades has resulted in persisting food insecurity along with reduced agricultural production in the Syrian Arab Republic in 2018. Internally displaced people, returnees and host communities are facing large food consumption gaps, depleted coping strategies and a large food expenditure share. As food insecurity levels are expected to remain high, strengthening agricultural production is essential to ensure availability and access to food. FAO requires USD 120 million to assist 3.5 million people during from January to December 2019.
