Synopsis (short abstract) This consultancy mission has been executed within the framework of the FAO Special Programme for Food Security (SPFS) - Smallholder Irrigation and Water Use Programme -Irrigation component. The aim was to train camp extension officers and block extension officers on improved horticultural practices and Integrated Plant Nutrition Systems in the SPFS field sites involving five provinces Lusaka, Central, Southern, Western and Eastern. The mission commenced on March 1 and ended on April 30,1998.

    Plant quarantine inspectors face a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis in the inspection of regulated articles. Harmonization of inspector training across the region will increase understanding and cooperation among National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs). This training standard was endorsed by the twenty-third session of the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission (APPPC) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August 2003. It aims to provide a sound basis for the development of compe tent and efficient plant quarantine inspectors and to achieve a consistent approach to training of inspectors across the APPPC region. It gives guidance on the development of training requirements for plant quarantine inspectors in phytosanitary inspection theory, methods and procedures. Regional standards for phytosanitary measures are developed and adopted by APPPC as part of the plant protection programme of the Commission's contracting parties to support regional harmonization and facilitate trade of commodities by member countries.

    The FAOSTAT emissions database is composed of several data domains covering the categories of the IPCC Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector of the national GHG inventory. Energy use in agriculture is additionally included as relevant to emissions from agriculture as an economic production sector under the ISIC A statistical classification, though recognizing that, in terms of IPCC, they are instead part of the Energy sector of the national GHG inventory. FAO emissions estimates are available over the period 1961–2018 for agriculture production processes from crop and livestock activities. Land use emissions and removals are generally available only for the period 1990–2019. This analytical brief focuses on overall trends over the period 2000–2018.

This volume in its present form, represents the systematic card-index, by subject of the Brussels Decimal Classification, in French and English, and it's supplemented by the general alphabetical index of authors.
