    The Myanmar food atlas is a series of photos displaying a variety of foods in standard serving sizes. The photos represent a range of foods customarily consumed by Myanmar people. The food atlas serves as a visual aid with food items in specific quantities or servings for exchange that is useful for meal planning and for fulfilling energy and nutrient requirements as well as special dietary needs of the individuals.

    NFOODS was able to achieve a lot at the regional and global level in 2015-2016. Global efforts focused on strengthening the regional data centres; organizing one-day-training courses together with regional data centres or organizations using the FAO/INFOODS e-Learning Course on Food Composition Data with the objective to sensitize professionals on the importance and complexity of food composition and to incorporate it into the curricula of universities and colleges; preparing grant proposals; as sisting countries and regional data centres; developing new global food databases and guidelines; and including nutrition and food composition components into FAO projects and programmes.
