No results found.Dans un premier temps, une équipe composée de six consultants nationaux et d’un consultant international a été mise en place et a réalisé un état des lieux et un diagnostic du secteur de l’arboriculture fruitière au Bénin Les différents rapports ont été validés lors d’un atelier national qui a regroupé toutes les parties prenantes et qui a débouché sur la proposition et la validation des axes stratégiques retenus pour l’élaboration des documents à produire (Stratégie et Programme) La Stratégie est prévue pour couvrir la période de 2020 à 2025 Elle a pour ambition de permettre d’ici 2025 l’exploitation durable et rationnelle des ressources naturelles, la promotion et la valorisation des espèces d’arboriculture fruitière au Bénin pour la réduction de la pauvreté, l’amélioration de l’employabilité des jeunes et surtout l’atteinte de la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle notamment au sein des couches les plus défavorisées Quatre principaux axes stratégiques ont été retenus l’amélioration de la production, des rendements et de la qualité de l’arboriculture fruitière l’étalement des productions de l’arboriculture fruitière la valorisation des productions des vergers l’amélioration de la gouvernance au sein des filières (appui institutionnel, appui organisationnel, financement, réglementations, etc La stratégie a ensuite été détaillée dans un Programme d’action articulé en sous programmes et en propositions de projets pilotes. -

No results found.En 2020, plus de 70 pour cent de la Guinée-Bissau était boisée, dont 45 pour cent de forêt primaire. Le pays présente une grande diversité écologique, incluant des forêts subhumides, des forêts sèches, des forêts galeries, des savanes, des palmeraies et des mangroves. Les forêts de Guinée-Bissau représentent un stock de carbone important pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest, avec un stock de carbone total estimé à 96,93 tonnes pour la biomasse aérienne des forêts (AGB), et une valeur AGB forestière moyenne de 65,17 tonnes par hectare. Les savanes boisées de l’est de la Guinée-Bissau ont des AGB moyens inférieurs, mais sont cruciales pour la conservation en raison de leur vaste étendue couvrant 15 035 km², soit 42 pour cent du territoire national.

The guidelines place the governance of tenure within the context of national food security, and are intended to contribute to the progressive realization of the right to adequate food, poverty eradication, environmental protection and sustainable social and economic development.

No results found.There is increasing attention to the importance of biodiversity for food security and nutrition, especially above-ground biodiversity such as plants and animals. However, less attention is being paid to the biodiversity beneath our feet, soil biodiversity, which drives many processes that produce food or purify soil and water. This report is the result of an inclusive process involving more than 300 scientists from around the world under the auspices of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and its Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative, and the European Commission. It presents concisely the state of knowledge on soil biodiversity, the threats to it, and the solutions that soil biodiversity can provide to problems in different fields. It also represents a valuable contribution to raising awareness of the importance of soil biodiversity and highlighting its role in finding solutions to today's global threats.
