    The FAO Afghanistan Newsletter provides information about the FAO projects major achievements (Irrigation Restoration Development Project (IRDP), FAO’s programme events and signing ceremonies of National Strategy on Women in Agriculture, launching ceremony of Afghanistan National Food Based Dietary Guidelines and Establishment of the Dairy Federation. It also covers study tours training reports on the Food Security and Nutrition Leadership Development in the Philippines along with Field Demonstr ation for Enhancing Irrigation Water Use Efficiency which conducted to enhance the capacity of the staff of the Irrigation Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) in irrigation water use efficiency.

    The eigth of FAO Afghanistan Newsletter is quarterly base publication, provides the audience with the information in regards to FAO Afghanistan’s major achievement during the period of January- March 2017 particularly organizing the fourth national water conference on sustainable development, FAO's technical assistance to MAIL to monitor and assess agriculture production systems in the country, visual impacts of FAO activities on Food security, livelihood and nutrition, Signing MOU between Envir onmental Protection Agency (NEPA) and FAO to provide framework for understanding and collaboration between NEPA and FAO for the effective and efficient execution of their respective programmes in a coherent and integrated manner, with clear roles and responsibilities and inception workshop on project preparation phase: Community- Based Sustainable Land and Forest Management in Afghanistan.
