Synopsis (short abstract) The FAO Afghanistan Newsletter provides information about the FAO projects major achievements (Irrigation Restoration Development Project (IRDP), FAO’s programme events and signing ceremonies of National Strategy on Women in Agriculture, launching ceremony of Afghanistan National Food Based Dietary Guidelines and Establishment of the Dairy Federation. It also covers study tours training reports on the Food Security and Nutrition Leadership Development in the Philippines along with Field Demonstr ation for Enhancing Irrigation Water Use Efficiency which conducted to enhance the capacity of the staff of the Irrigation Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) in irrigation water use efficiency.
