2022The Sub-Committee on Fish Trade was established by the Committee on Fisheries to serve as a multilateral consultation forum for discussions on the international trade of fisheries and aquaculture products. The 18th Session of the Sub-Committee was convened virtually from 8 April to 8 May 2022 and on 7, 8, 9, and 20 June 2022. Le Sous-Comité du commerce du poisson a été créé par le Comité des pêches pour servir de forum multilatéral de consultation sur les questions relatives au commerce international des produits de la pêche et de l’aquaculture. Sa dix-huitième session s’est tenue en ligne du 8 avril au 8 mai 2022, ainsi que les 7, 8, 9 et 20 juin 2022. El Subcomité de Comercio Pesquero fue establecido por el Comité de Pesca para que sirviera de foro multilateral de consulta en el que examinar el comercio internacional de productos de la pesca y la acuicultura. La 18.ª reunión del Subcomité tuvo lugar de forma virtual del 8 de abril al 8 de mayo de 2022 y los días 7-9 y 20 de junio de 2022. -

The Sub-Committee took note of important recent events concerning international trade in fishery products and considered specific issues of international trade, environment and sustainable fisheries development: Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and responsible fish trade; Declaration from the World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference, Doha, and its impact on fish trade; Safety and quality of fishery products; Traceability of fish products and labelling issues; CITES and fi sh trade. In its capacity as the International Commodity Body for fishery products, the Sub-Committee noted the progress achieved in its cooperation with the Common Fund for Commodities and endorsed several pipeline projects.

It is divided into sections focusing on matters regarding the workflow, visual identity, content and structure of FAO publications. In addition to FAOSTYLE in six languages, this guidance also includes: "Publishing policy", providing high-level guidance aimed at those involved in the creation or approval of a publishing plan; "Authorship and plagiarism guidelines", outlining the principles and criteria for authorship of FAO publications; "Graphic design guidelines", focusing on the practical application of FAO's visual identity and design standards; “Responsible use of AI in publishing”, covering how to use AI responsibly and ethically when producing a publication; “Open Access policy”, a summary of the policy that encourages the wide use, reproduction and dissemination of the intellectual property that FAO produces; and "Digital publishing", guidance on how to create a digital (HTML) publication.
