    The 36th Session of the Executive Committee of the International Poplar Commission (IPC) was held in Zaragoza, Spain, on 22nd September 1992, at the kind invitation of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain. Mr. V. Steenackers, Chairman of the Executive Committee chaired the meeting. It consisted of a closed session of 10 members and 3 heads of Working Parties as well as the Secretary of the Commission and a former Secretary of the IPC acting as adviser. The 19th Session of the International P oplar Commission (IPC) was held in Zaragoza at the kind invitation of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain under the Chairmanship of Mr. Domingo Cadahi (Spain), with the assistance of two Vice-Chairmen, Mr. G. Valle (Canada) and Mr. Jaime Ulloa (Chile), and three Rapporteurs, Mr. Dean DeBell (USA), Mr. Franois Lefevre (France) and Mrs. Teresa Cerrillo (Argentina).

    This Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM-Monitoring) brief shares the results of a fifth-round assessment conducted in September and October 2023 in Chad. It presents key findings and recommendations for humanitarian actors to utilize in planning and implementing data-driven programming to sustain farmers’ livelihoods and build their resilience to future shocks – protecting the food security of rural people in Chad.  The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) established the DIEM-Monitoring System to collect, analyse and disseminate data on shocks and livelihoods in countries prone to multiple shocks. DIEM-Monitoring aims to inform decision-making by providing regularly updated information on how different shocks are affecting the livelihoods and food security of agricultural populations. Information is collected from primary sources in the production process: producers, traders or marketers, input suppliers, extension officers and other key informants.
