BookletFlagshipEl estado de los recursos genéticos acuáticos para la alimentación y la agricultura en el mundo – resumen 2019En 2007, la Comisión de Recursos Genéticos para la Alimentación y la Agricultura de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) añadió la preparación del informe sobre El estado de los recursos genéticos acuáticos para la alimentación y la agricultura en el mundo (el “informe”) a su Programa de trabajo plurianual. La Comisión decidió posteriormente que el informe abarcara “las especies acuáticas cultivadas y sus parientes silvestres que estén sujetos a jurisdicción nacional”. Tras un proceso impulsado por los países, el Departamento de Pesca y Acuicultura elaboró un proyecto de informe para que lo examinara la Comisión, su Grupo de trabajo técnico intergubernamental especial sobre los recursos genéticos acuáticos para la alimentación y la agricultura y el Comité de Pesca de la FAO. El Comité también consultó a su Subcomité de Acuicultura y su Grupo de trabajo consultivo sobre tecnologías y recursos genéticos acuáticos.
